Sometimes I want so much to write this blog brilliantly, chock full of helpful information on all manner of subjects. Breakthroughs in medicine for elders, tips for filing for Social Security and how to find the perfect shoe for walking. Unfortunately I hate doing research and I feel funny about sharing my political views, what if I offend someone. I am a person who wants everyone to love her.
I so admire all the brilliant bloggers out there, none more than my idol, the blog that inspired me to blog in the first place. TIME GOES BY, written by Ronni Bennett, I think in some ways Ronni’s writing appeals to me because she led the life I didn’t, not that i was unhappy with my choice. I married, twice. Had three great kids enjoyed my work, but and it is a big but, there was always the road not taken. Single, an apartment in New York, a career maybe eventually a family. I went from college to marriage and putting my husband first. Again not a poor choice just an alternative, and Ronni’s writing is so descriptive I am living vicariously through her blogs about her life in New York,
I so admired her work that I copied her header, she saw it and she commented. i simply used the “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” line and changed my header the following week. I still like the old header better, but again I want everyone to like me. Now I am going hand this off to the pros and hopefully get an equally striking header, we shall see what they come up with.
I started to write this about a totally different subject but i got off the track and I think it may have happened for a reason. It is time to either to commit to this blog or give it up. i started writing about staying relevant in a youth obsessed culture, a subject that to me translated into trying new things and getting out of your comfort zone. I have decided to walk the walk instead of just talking about it and so i will get some consultants and do what’s necessary to expose this to a larger audience.
The first thing I must do is learn to ask for help, and to toot my own horn. Here goes, if you are reading this on FACEBOOK, please go to my actual blog site and if you like it share it with some of your age appropriate “FRIENDS”.
