While conducting a search for the very first blog I ever wrote. A blog I considered so good, so universally relatable, that I decided to hold it back, until I could be certain someone was going to read it,,,yes my masterpiece!
I thought I had printed a copy, to fawn over, if you will, when feeling I’d bitten off more than I could chew with this writing thing. Anyway, having had several favorable comments from some total strangers, not just my sycophantic friends who feel they must support me, lest, I stop listening to their problems. No copy was found.
Not to fear! Having seen enough movies and TV shows, where some twelve-year-old genius approaches the keyboard and with one stroke discovers Bernie Madoff’s off shore accounts or the plans for the Iranian nuclear program, I’ve got this!
My trusty computer tells me the document is there, but I have deleted it. Okay, let’s undelete it, two days later having pushed every button on this machine a hundred times, still no article. I know perfectly well I can rewrite it, not exactly the same but it will be as good because I don’t think I’ve lost any brain cells in the past two months, but now it has become the principle of the thing. If a two-year old can place a cell phone call and often does, I can find the secret files in my iPad. If not, tomorrow is the day my WordPress coach comes, and she’ll find it in two seconds and we will laugh at my ineptitude. I will be charming and make light of the situation, but inside I’ll be crying! Oh well, my grand-daughter is turning one this month, so she will be on board as the IT department anytime now!
