Although I can’t wait to write about much more interesting and amusing topics, I feel I must follow-up on my first blog about the difficulty of starting a blog! My first ever blog, written a few months ago about how hard it was to use WordPress and I published it on Blogger where I had three followers, ME, MYSELF and I, because every time I tried to find the blog I WAS COUNTED AS A FOLLOWER. The downside to that appears that is some sort of blogging fraud. Who knew? I managed to avoid arrest, and am free to go on as long as I can avoid being my only fan? As luck would have it, I whined enough, to get everyone I knew to offer suggestions about how I could get it up and running. Unfortunately, I am a very visual learner and none of the tutorial sites suggested, however excellent, were of any help to me. At last, one of my dearest friends, a tech savvy 40-year-old, got tired of my complaints and found me a real person! She made a house call, and voila’ in forty minutes she did what we had been unable to do in forty days. A miracle worker! With her permission, in a later post I will gladly share her name!!!
So, now I can start posting, because if nothing else goes wrong, and the river don’t rise, I am a blogger. Now, the hard part…….will anyone want to read it, but, at least if anyone inquires, “what do you do?” my answer is, I am a blogger!
I am realizing as a read and re-read this post how much I use and have grown to hate the word “blog”! Next assignment, download Thesaurus! I think I’ll quit now while I’m ahead, but this will be my last rant about how hard this is to do. Next, I can get on with my original goal of connecting with my peers, and finding new and stimulating ways to keep active and engaged.
